We’ll continue to share our developmental intent, plans, and the latest info with you all. With that out of the way, let’s get the conversation going between us here at Arc System Works and the players. While spectating (or mid-match) hit pause and the options to turn them off will be there. We’d like to answer your questions and comments regarding Nagoriyuki and Leo Whitefang in a future installment, so please send them in via this form. Q: Can I disable mid-match comments and/or the spectator list?Ī: Yes. While there is no official fix (as of Rev1), there's a temporary workaround mentioned in that thread. Pad players will often map three buttons to one for Roman Cancels.Ī: You might have this issue. If you still want default arcade layouts, the default layouts are linked here: If you need to switch P and K because you're coming from Street Fighter and the difference is throwing you off, then you'll be fine doing so. The controller you use is ultimately a personal preference.Ī: As with controllers themselves, layouts are personal preference. Q: Okay, I'm still unable to bring myself to pick a character and run with it who do I pick?Ī: A stick is not necessary to play GG, or any fighting game, at a decent level. Right now it is the second option, and it comes with all of the characters. Q: If I buy Rev 2 straight out, do I get Dizzy/Raven/Kum?Ī: The $44.99 REV 2 (with REVELATOR DLC) one. Q: Do I get Dizzy/Raven/Kum with the Rev 2 $20 upgrade? If you cant decide, flip a coin, roll dice, or ask a magic 8 ball.Ī: It's tournament standard, and everyone online uses it. I guarantee people will help you.Ī: The one that looks the coolest/cutest to you. Pot is considered the weakest character, but just look at FAB.Ī: Go to the Guilty Gear discord on the sidebar, then join your character's discord from the Guilty Gear discord and ask there. If you feel afraid of picking a character that may be too "hard" for you, pick Ky.Ī: Doesn't matter. No character is too hard, provided you want to learn. Pick whoever you like, and you will get better. Q: Is X character a good first character?Ī: Guilty Gear is hard no matter who you pick. Because of this, the vast majority of GG's players will be in player rooms. Ranked has no region filtering options so players can potentially get matched up with others from anywhere in the world, and the netcode isn't good enough to make cross-globe matches playable. A note about Ranked: it will most likely be dead after a week or two after launch. Finding matches in Discord should help too. Q: Will Rev1 DLC characters be included in Rev2?Ī: As with Rev1, there should be a decent number of people online at most times of day. However, this means playing with out the new balance changes and characters. Q: Can I still play Rev2 online with people who are on Rev1?Ī: Rev2 has an option to revert back to Rev1 that should allow this as long as both people are on the same version of Rev1. PS3 and PC players can buy digital standalone at $40.00, or can upgrade for $20.00. Q: Can I buy Rev2 standalone, or will I need to have Rev1 first?Ī: PS4 players have the option to buy Rev2 as a $40.00 standalone digital or physical game or as a $20.00 digital upgrade if you already own Rev1.
